Take a 360° image with your RICOH THETA body facing the same direction.

For example, take a 360° image with the front side of your RICOH THETA body facing north.

In the initial state when you open a 360° image, the front of the 360° image is the area taken on the front side of the RICOH THETA body. The front of each 360° image is also used as the basis for side-by-side comparisons of 360° images. By taking pictures with the RICOH THETA body facing the same direction, you can easily synchronize your 360° images with each other while rotating them.
